It is good to have a notion about a person ...but according to me it is equally important to 'redesign' that notion....otherwise the person is pushed back

I agree with you pratik that we should review our notion about a person periodically. But why don't we do so and generally when it is -ve to +ve. This could be because we don't want to take risk when there seem no returns. I know I am sounding very materialistic, but I believe we all are people who are value driven. No value No investment is something that goes in our brain before we take any decision, may be we don't realise it.

I am ready to change my views if someone offer me better means to end
I would tend to agree with you sampat...but the only thing i am saying is that may be an erroneous 'discount rate' ( a pre-conceived notion) might be used which might lead to an undervaluation of the PV of he person.
Could be the case of undervaluation, but we need to understand why the market is undervaluing someone, why low PE, May be the market has given a lot time, but when they start making loss out of the investment, people never look back to it.
Friend, changing the stance just for the sake of giving something positive to that person may prove fatal even for that person.
So, giving some suggestion to that person to change they way he is, may be a good idea. only, If that person cares to improve otherwise the whole exercise become futile.
Amit , not for once have i said to change one's stance just for the sake of it..I was talking about a situation wherein a person trying to mend his ways ccan be set back due to a non change in his/her peers'attitude...Besides, who wouldn't seek recognition for his/her efforts???
