Its a great attempt. Congrats!

Make sure that too many people from praxis are not involving in this PagalGuy discussion. This Guy is pagal enough as it identify each user by its IP address. This automated system understand every Praxites who logging in from Praxis network to be the same user!...(as our Proxy Server shows only one IP address for all of us) and of course will block the discussion.

So if at all more people wants to get into this discussion, they better do that from outside Praxis Network. Last year we successfully managed it by people like Donald replying to discussions from his home and other cyber Cafes.

As a representative of Pagalguy, I'd like to clarify this point. We have no problems if more real people join the discussion from a single IP address. However we ban people or threads when we see one person creating multiple usernames and making it seem like many people are answering questions, or if the same person creates different user-IDs and acts like both an MBA aspirant and a Praxis student to make it seem like a real discussion is going on. If you do that, it makes your school no different from IIPM or any one of those shady b-schools. Now if your b-school's culture or marketing team is making you do fake activity on PaGaLGuY, it is extremely disappointing for us to know at PaGaLGuY and I on my part am putting a red-alert on Praxis within our Moderation team and we will take action at the appropriate moment. The other choice you have is to play it like good/premier b-schools do and not do any shady activity which will make us ban Praxis on PaGalGuY and show your school in a bad light. The choice is upto you all.

Firstly, let me welcome you to KK, on behalf of Praxis Business School. I am alumnus of Praxis Business School (Batch 2008-10) and let me address the concerns raised by you......

Well, to start with, I am a little disappointed that you have dug open an issue that is more than an year old and towards which corrective measures were immediately taken. To put it blatantly, we, the students and representatives of Praxis Business School on Pagalguy, did learn our lessons for mistakes that we had committed and had corrected in due course of time.

In fact, the management in Praxis took immediate measures to ban students from all activities on PG (That is the best that they could have done.....u will agree its not possible to police everyone over their activities on Cyber-Net). The only exceptions to that were Nikhil Verma and I who have had an experience of mentoring aspirants on PG and we continued doing that. And as far as the mistakes made by other fellow students were concerned, I shall attribute that to their over-enthusiastic and zealous nature rather than any hidden malice.

I also find a mention of "culture" of our B-School vis-a-vis the other elite and "shady" MBA destinations. Well, in that regard, let me assure you that we as representatives of Praxis Business School take immense pride when we position ourselves as an HONEST and TRANSPARENT B-school. In fact that is the very reason why many of us with really impressive percentiles in CAT/XAT chose a lesser publicized B-School in Praxis over the better known and the more publicized elite and "shady" ones. We have been outright honest in disclosing any details pertaining to placements, affiliations, academics, or any other issue that has been brought up time and again. Now, for you, who eats, sleeps and breathes issues revolving around B-Schools, you will very well know how many institutes, elite and "shady" really do so. And it is this very honesty cultivated by the revered professors in our very psyche during the two tedious but fulfilling years in Praxis that keeps us so closely attached to our alma-matters. And this very attitude has been widely appreciated by visiting faculties from the top-tier schools, the corporates and everyone who has had the chance of interacting with us. Hence it really pains me to see you commenting on the culture or any hidden malice on part of the marketing team of Praxis that might have led us to carry such activities...

Also, if we were to be "shady" I as a moderator of this particular group could have easily deleted the concerned discussions. But we kept them as they were for the participants and for other to glance through. And in our personal discussions as well as discussions on the cloud we have always encouraged students to properly research all aspects concerning a Business School. You will agree that we may have never encouraged similar behaviour if we weren't supremely confident on what we had to dish out to the students as an institute. That in itself should address any of your concerns surrounding our culture and values. We, as a new B-School, have learnt our lessons from mistakes that we have committed in the past ( and I am sure that elite and "shady" B-Schools have had committed such mistakes during their course of their survival and growth), have forgotten this episode but learnt our lessons, and have moved on and hope we won't dwell on this further.

Serious discussions apart, I again welcome you aboard on KK :)) Do visit the various forums, see the lively discussions and chatter we have, glance through the projects that we have been working on, and enjoy the warmth that every outsider has felt being part of the Praxis eco-system! We at Praxis also welcome you and the PG team's physical presence on campus!

Glad to hear that. But then again as someone who has eaten, slept and breathed moderation on a public forum for the last 6 years, I also take such defences/assurances with a pinch of salt. Reason - they all sound the same, and in no time we unearth the next scam by them. Also in our experience, any entity that's capable of scamming once is capable of scamming again. So the proof of the pie shall remain in the eating only and I hope I'm proved wrong.
